This is the privacy policy
("Privacy Policy") for www.mysnacs.com
(the "Site") and the Snac mobile widget service (the "Service") created by
downloading our software to your mobile phone (the "Mobile Client"). It explains
how we collect, store and use information you provide when you register and
utilize the Site and the Service.
Effective: November, 10th,
2008.
We may update this Privacy
Policy from time to time as the Service evolves. We will notify you at the
email address you provide upon registration, and highlight any such changes. Your
use of the Service after such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes.
By
accessing and using this Site and Service, you indicate your agreement with the
terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please
discontinue the use of the Service and delete your account.
When you register, some of
the information we ask for is considered ÔPersonal Identifying Information.Õ
This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify
you. This type of information is
currently limited to your phone number and email address. We also ask for other information, such
as your city, state, zip code, and birthday, which is typically considered
"Non-Identifying
Information" since it cannot be used to identify you on its own.
Sometimes Non-Identifying Information can be considered part of your Personal Identifying
Information if it is combined in such a way that it enables you to be
identified.
When using the Service, you
have the ability to sign up for individual mobile widgets that provide you
access to personal services such as email or social media sites. This account information will be used
by you, and only by you, to allow the mobile widget on your, and yours alone, version
of the Service to provide access and interaction with these services.
When you visit the Site,
whether as a Snac, Inc. customer or as a visitor, our servers automatically
record certain information from your browser so that we may keep track of which
services that we provide to you. During this process we may also collect your
IP address and browser details, as well as store cookies in your browser, all
of which help us personalize and improve the Service experience. While you have
the option to stop your browser from accepting Snac cookies at any time, this
may limit the functionality of the Service and is generally not recommended.
For more information on how to stop accepting cookies, please refer to the
"help"
menu for your web browser.
When
you use the Service, your unique UserID is embedded into the software that has
been downloaded and executed on your mobile phone. While this is not uniquely
identifying information to any party other than Snac, Inc., it does allow us to
recognize your mobile phone and deliver the customized personal experience that
the Service provides.
The
Service is advertising supported and in order to create the most compelling and
targeted advertising, Snac, Inc. reserves the right to share ÔNon-Identifying
InformationÕ about your account to help provide advertising that will be most relevant
and applicable to you as you utilize the Service.
When
a consumer is using the Service, our Mobile Client tracks when the application
is running, what mobile widgets have been accessed, what page level view is
being accessed and for how long.
There is no Personally Identifiable Information associated to these
tracking events and we do not track the specific content that is being viewed but
merely the time spent on particular views of the content (1st level,
2nd level, 3rd level, etc).
This
information is tracked in order to understand how customers are using the
Service and how we can make Service improvements. This information is returned from our Mobile Client to our
servers in the background automatically whenever the Mobile Client synchronizes
with our servers.
If the download the Service
was initiated from one of our Brand Partners, we may share with them the
